Quick Tips On Applying For A Payday Loan Online

Submitted by: Wendy Pollman

We have all been there before. We budget our salary ever so carefully. We write down which bills must be paid this week. We make a list of what items to buy so that we’d have something to eat until the next payday. But somehow, despite our careful calculations, we still come up short. It’s either we forget an unpaid bill or we run out of money paying for everything that we need to pay for. We are faced with the possibility of financial charges from our creditors or having no extra cash to get you to work the next day. It’s not an entirely hopeless situation but it’s still a situation that you’d rather not be in, right?

In these kinds of situations, there are loans that you can avail of but no other loan is quicker than a payday loan. This is a loan that will let you have the money that you need in 24 hours or less. Availing of one is also very easy because there are only few requirements. Another great thing about this loan is that you can apply for one online. If you are planning to try this method, the following are some tips to keep in mind:

Do Your Research: There are probably many lending companies in your area that offer a payday loan online. These lending companies will have different fees and terms. If you do a thorough research, you will be able to find a lending company with payday loan fees and terms that you agree with. There are some websites that actually offer comparisons on rates and policies of lending agencies. These websites will help you in your research. Of course you can also ask someone who’s had some experience on borrowing from certain creditors.

Go for Convenience: Different agencies will have different policies when it comes to loan requirements. Some will want you to fax some documents before they process your application. There are institutions, however, that have fax-less payday loan online transactions. It would be better if you choose these institutions as they afford you more convenience.

Go for Quick: There are some lending companies that will process your payday loan online application on the day they receive the form but you’ll have your money the next day. This is fast, as far as other loans are concerned, but there are some agencies that will send you the money that you need before the day ends. Since you are borrowing money for an emergency, you might want to choose a lending company that is fast when it comes to releasing the money.

Look for a Customer Service Hotline: If you have questions about applying for a payday loan online, it is best to have an employee of the lending company to give you answers. Some websites may have FAQ pages but the answers here may not be enough for you. Thankfully, there are institutions that offer telephone help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These companies are concerned about customer service and you will be assured that they care about their borrowers.

Thousands take part in protests across US against government’s financial policy

Sunday, March 1, 2009

Last Friday, thousands of people, in a total of more than thirty US cities, took part in a protest against the economic policy of the US government.

The event, which was inspired by the Boston Tea Party, took place due to comments made by CNBC presenter Rick Santelli.

“This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbors’ mortgages, that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills?” said Santelli, speaking on-air to the television audience. “We’re thinking about having a Chicago tea party in July. All you capitalists that wanna show up at Lake Michigan, I’m gonna start organizing.”

The protest took place in anger against the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Several protesters voiced their opposition to this act. “I’m sick and tired of it,” said protester Barbara Keeton, speaking to WYFF4.com. “That’s my money. That’s my grandchildren’s future. It’s down the toilet.”

“The debt that Obama’s got, is way higher now, less than 100 days after he’s been in office,” she continued.

Organizers of Friday’s protests have announced that they are planning a new series of protests on April 15.

PBS show asserts greenhouse gases, atmospheric pollutants dimming future

Saturday, April 22, 2006

This week, the Public Broadcasting Service aired a NOVA program titled “Dimming the Earth”, which presented research by leading scientists on the complex systems of our global climate and human activity’s effect on it. One of the largest interactions (or “inputs”) humans have with the atmosphere is the ever-increasing use of fossil fuels. Consumption has risen 2% per year for this decade.

Fossil fuels burnt in factories and automobiles send their waste into our atmosphere in two forms. The first is CO2 and other greenhouse gases, which have received substantial attention in the last few years because of the way they trap heat in the atmosphere. The second is the tiny particles of sulfur dioxide, soot and ash, which scientists call aerosols (basically smog). Research into understanding the negative health effects of air pollution has resulted in the development of catalytic converters for cars as well as devices to remove particulate solids from industrial waste before it reaches the air.

More recently, atmospheric scientists have come upon the phenomenon of the reduction of direct sunlight reaching Earth’s surface— observing a nearly a 5% decline between 1960 and 1990, with evidence of a recovery since then. This has been dubbed the “global dimming” effect, and is probably due to the way these aerosols act upon clouds. It is important to realise that this does not represent a net loss of this much sunshine to the climate system – if so, large temperature declines would have been observed. Instead, the sunshine is absorbed elsewhere in the system, with a much smaller net loss.

Clouds form when moisture gathers around airborne particles, such as pollen or dust. Clouds formed by the aerosol particles emitted by fossil fuel consumption are made of many more tiny droplets than “natural” clouds. These smog-created clouds have two notable effects: they shield sunlight from reaching Earth’s surface and, due to water’s reflective nature, the millions of tiny droplets suspended in them reflect light back into space, allowing even less light to reach Earth.

Many scientists now believe that global dimming caused by these pollutants has mitigated the temperature rises brought about by global warming. Over the last thirty years, Earth’s temperature has increased by about 0.5 oC.

In the absence of global dimming, however, the Earth might be 0.3 oC warmer than it currently is, suggesting that a “tug-of-war” exists between greenhouse gases and particulates released by burning fossil fuels. Efforts to mitigate the human health dangers of smog have allowed more heat into our atmosphere and brought about a sharper increase in global warming.

Dr. James E. Hansen, professor at Columbia University and the head of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies [1], believes that if we continue on our current pattern, this warming could be as much as five degrees in the next thirty years and ten to fourteen degrees over the course of the century. Such a temperature rise would devastate life on Earth, likely bringing on a cascade of self-reinforcing warming effects. Earth’s forests drying and burning, a steady thawing of the Greenland and arctic ice sheets, and, most dangerous of all, a release of the methane hydrates that are now frozen at the bottom of the oceans, could remake the planet into something inhospitable to human life. Dr. Hansen warns that, according to his research, man has just 10 years to reduce greenhouse gases before global warming and other responses to human activity by Earth’s climate reach a “tipping point”, becoming unstoppable.

Tips To Begin Toddlers Toilet Training Of Your Daughter

Tips To Begin Toddlers Toilet Training Of Your Daughter

by

MIKE SELVON

The biggest thing to remember when you start potty training your daughter is that your toddlers toilet training success depends on beginning when she is ready and not before. The age to start depends on her developmental progress and could begin as early as 18 months, or as late as four years. Studies have shown that if parents begin the training process before their daughter is both physically and emotionally ready, then the process will take much longer.

Begin your toddlers toilet training adventure by buying her either a kid-sized potty seat or an adapter or training seat that fits on top of your regular toilet. If you choose to use the full-sized toilet, then make sure it attaches firmly so that she feels comfortable and secure. Don’t forget to provide her with a stool to step up and on, and off of the potty easily. A good way to get ready to toilet train and to get your daughter focused on the benefits of being potty-trained is by taking her shopping to buy some pretty underwear or cloth training pants. Let her choose whichever kind she wants. Talk with her about the shopping trip ahead of time so she gets excited about the adventure. She will be pleased to be old enough to use the potty and wear underwear just like her mommy or sister. Teaching your daughter how to wipe properly is one of the most important things you will need to do. Start by explaining to her that she needs to make sure she moves the toilet paper from front to back. This is especially important when she has a bowel movement to avoid spreading bacteria from feces to her urethra and vagina. She will likely have a few accidents, but eventually she will go into her potty. This is the time to make a big fuss over her. Reward her with a big girl treat, such as watching a special video or getting an extra bedtime story to reinforce the idea that she has reached a significant milestone. Try not to make too big of a deal of every trip to the potty though or she may start to feel nervous and self-conscious with all that attention. The more your daughter uses the potty chair, the better she will become. There are a few tips to remember about toilet training for success however, such as dressing her in easy to remove clothing, never punishing or demeaning her if she has an accident and by giving praise whenever it is appropriate. By the time your child is ready to say goodbye to diapers for good, she will have completed a big accomplishment. Acknowledge your toddlers toilet training achievement and reinforce her pride in her new skill.

Americans practice attack response procedures

Correction — August 24, 2015 This article incorrectly describes BP as ‘British Petroleum’. In fact, such a company has not existed for many years as BP dropped this name when becoming a multinational company. The initials no longer stand for anything.

Thursday, February 2, 2006

In recent days, there has been a notable increase in nuclear attack drill activities in LA, Houston and the state of South Carolina.

Sources in the Houston Police Department have disclosed that they are running these nuclear disaster drills across the city of Houston, Texas.

“In the last week I have multi-checked with sources of mine in the Houston Police Department and confirmed that HPD has been running nuclear disaster drills,” said Capt. Eric May, as he warned of a possible nuclear attack that might occur in the Texas City or Houston metro area. Capt. Eric May also mentioned that a likely target could be the British Petroleum plant in Texas City, Texas.

Local citizens have also noticed ongoing SWAT exercises involving numerous government agencies in the area, including Homeland Security, the HPD and the Pasadena Police Department.

“After leaving the Texas City police station, I noticed one thing really strange, as I counted at least 11 different types of official police and government vehicles parked in the police lot. I have never seen this before and it has me a little worried. What are they planning?” said local resident John Watkins.

Besides this increased activity in the Houston area, there have been reports that the Bank of America has been in contact with Homeland Security officials discussing the topic of how to deal with customers in the case of a pending “national disaster.” Employees of the bank have been ordered to remain silent, as ones from all levels have been told of the proper procedures to take. Employees in both Houston and LA have disclosed they were recently told not to distribute certain things from safety deposit boxes in the event of a national emergency, including gold, silver and firearms. They were, however, allowed to hand out important papers to asking customers.

It seems as if British Petroleum may also be conducting nuclear disaster exercises in the Houston area, as an email from an alleged BP employee has surfaced on the internet. Although his identity has not been proven as of yet, he states that he holds the position of a “building monitor” and has never had any responsibilities before. However, on Friday, January 27th, he was called into a meeting and told that he had best get his men ready for some disaster drills to be starting in the next week.

The US government is also running a nuclear disaster drill in the Charleston, SC area from January 31st to February 2nd. The organizers said that nuclear drills should not frighten citizens, but should instead encourage them to learn how to protect themselves in the event of an attack. It should be noted that the government has run other nuclear disaster tests before, including one last summer called “Sudden Respond ’05.” Therefore, this increase of disaster drills may just indicate that the government is taking the threat of a nuclear attack seriously and not necessarily that there is one impending.

Protesters dance for gay rights, health care at Philadelphia ‘Queer Rager’

Friday, January 27, 2017

On Wednesday night more than 1,000 protesters, most of them part of the LGBT community, staged a dance protest they called the “Queer Rager” outside the Leows Hotel in Philadelphia’s Center City, where the U.S. Republican Party has arranged a retreat. Gay rights and health care featured amongst the issues raised.

Protesters expressed concerns about traditional gay issues, but Republican U.S. President Donald Trump’s impending repeal of the Affordable Care Act, law enforcement, climate change and other issues were also visible. Signs included “Health Care Is a Human Right,” “BROWN BLACK LGBTQ LIVES MATTER,” and “Trans Bodies Are Beautiful.”

Titled “Queer Rage(r): Guerrilla Dance Party,” participants were invited to dance and carry signs. Like the Women’s March last Saturday, this protest was organized partially through Facebook.

The focus for tonight is to call attention to the ways in which queer and trans, especially queer and trans black and brown people, do not have access to a lot of healthcare

Event organizer Hanako Franz told ABC Channel 6, “The focus for tonight is to call attention to the ways in which queer and trans, especially queer and trans black and brown people, do not have access to a lot of healthcare.”

“Get ready to WERK it out,” reads the event’s official Facebook page. “As they try to take away our health care, to police Black, Brown, Trans and Queer bodies, to regulate our bodies, we’re here to say #WeAreQueer #WeAreHere #WeWillDance.”

This is part of several events, including a rally by health care professionals, expected to continue until today, when the retreat ends. One event, which has been given the go-ahead by the city of Philadelphia, is expected to draw 3,000 participants.

2012 Olympics clash with Ramadan

Sunday, October 15, 2006

Muslim groups from across the world are criticising the organisers of the 2012 Olympics in London after it was revealed that the games will take place over Ramadan. The most holy month in the Muslim calendar, which will take place from the 21 July to 20 August in 2012, involves fasting during daylight hours and will affect an estimated 3,000 athletes.

Joanna Manning Cooper, spokesman for the games said: “We did know about it when we submitted our bid and we have always believed that we could find ways to accommodate it.”Nevertheless, this will come as a huge embarrassment for the organisers who have tried to ensure the event involve all of Britain’s ethnic communities.A quarter of the athletes who took part in the 2004 Athens Olympics were from predominantly Muslim countries and the fast will put any athletes involved at a clear disadvantage.

The chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, Massoud Shadjared said: “This is going to disadvantage the athletes and alienate the Asian communities by saying they don’t matter. It’s not only going to affect the participants, it’s going to affect all the people who want to watch the games.”

The president of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey, Togay Bayalti, said: “This will be difficult for Muslim athletes. They don’t have to observe Ramadan if they are doing sport and travelling but they will have to decide whether it is important to them. “It would be nice for the friendship of the Games if they had chosen a different date.”

The games will run from the 27 July to 12 August to coincide with the British Summer holidays. The summer holidays are a six week period running from mid July to early September. During this time, public transportation is generally less crowded and it will be easier to find the 70,000 volunteers needed to keep the games running. The International Olympics Committee has specified that the games must take place between July 15 to August 31. Giselle Davies, IOC spokesperson said, “We give a window to the five bid cities. The host city selects the dates within that window.”

The organisers are working with the Muslim Council of Great Britain to find ways around the problem.

The Raveonettes on love, death, desire and war

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

“We’re only two days in and we’re already fucking tired,” says Sune Rose Wagner to David Shankbone as he walks into the dressing room at the Bowery Ballroom. Wagner and Sharin Foo comprise the Raveonettes, a group made for “nostalgists who long for Everly Brothers 45’s and diner jukeboxes, the Raveonettes tweak “American Graffiti”-era rock with fuzzed-out surf-guitar riffs,” said The New York Times. They recently left Columbia and signed with Fierce Panda because they felt constrained by their Columbia contract: “The major label system sometimes doesn’t allow for outside “help” to get involved, meaning that we don’t get to choose who we wanna work with. That can be a pretty terrible thing and bad things will surely come of it,” said the band on their MySpace site. Originally from Denmark, both musicians live in the United States now.

Their first EP, Chain Gang of Love, was a critical and commercial success. “Few albums provoke such amazing imagery,” said the BBC. “Pretty in Black is virtually fuzz-free,” said Rolling Stone of their next album, “highlighting the exquisite detail in the Raveonettes’ gift for pastiche: the prowling, garage-surf guitars in Love in a Trashcan; the ghost dance of Red Tan, wrapped in Phil Spector-style sleigh bells.” Of their current album, Lust Lust Lust, set to be released on November 5th (although Amazon says March 4, 2008), Sune told NME that, “There are a lot of songs that deal with desire, restlessness and the tough choices you have to make sometimes.” Fans can hear some of the new material at MySpace.com/TheRaveonettes.

Below is Wikinews reporter David Shankbone’s interview with Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo.

Reverse Osmosis Water Filters In Gainesville Fl

byAlma Abell

More and more people are concerned about their drinking water supply. This is because sometimes scary news reports show stories about water treatment for tap water not killing certain bacteria. This has resulted in people getting ill, and in some of these news cases, people reportedly died. Some people have turned to choosing to only drink bottled water, but studies have shown that some bottled water is no different than tap water. To add to confusion, some people who are health conscious are also concerned about the environment. They have concerns about the amount of plastic water bottles that end up in landfills, and even if they recycle, they know that recycling plastic emits gases into the atmosphere.
